Two dark-skinned figures stand against a dotted blue background, one wearing a textured white garment.

Western Desert Warriors

These two tall men walked barefoot into the gold mining town of Marble Bar, Western Australia in 1920. Emerging from the desert, they both were naked and wore their hair knotted, both sporting tribal scars.

The warrior on the left stood 6ft 7 inches tall

The warrior on the right stood 6ft 4inches tall.

Painted with acrylics, oils, plaster on stretched canvas.

The piece has a crackled ancient effect, and the tall warrior wears a shedded snake skin robe.
